Day 1: HCM City
Arrive at Tan Son Nhat airport, where most American personnel landed before 1975. Transfer to Ho Chi Minh city (formerly Saigon) and check in hotel. Afternoon visit the Historical Museum, Vinh Nghiem Pagoda. Evening take one hour boat cruise on the Saigon River for dinner. Overnight in Saigon. (D)
Day 2: Ho Chi Minh City
Full day tour visiting historic landmarks, walking tour for photo opportunities to Old Saigon Post Office, Notre Dame Cathedral, the former Presidential Palace and the War Remnants Museum. Lunch at the traditional Vietnamese Kinh Bac restaurant.Afternoon, visit Thien Hau Temple, Cholon Market – Chinese district established for over 200 years and largely unchanged with its old temples and house. Dinner at restaurant. Overnight in Saigon (B, L,)
Day 3: Cu Chi Tunnels
After breakfast, enjoy a morning drive through the Vietnamese countryside to Cu Chi. Upon arrival, we start to experience ourselves the village of Cu Chi and explore the remain of the underground battle field network of tunnels built by Vietnamese guerilla fighters during the long yeas of war. Lunch at restaurant in Cu Chi. Afternoon, on the way back to Saigon stop at the rice- paper making village. Dinner at restaurant. Overnight in Saigon (B, L,)
Day 4: Mekong Delta
After breakfast, drive from Saigon to Tien Giang. Visit the Dong Tam snake farm in My Tho before boarding sampan for a cruise on the upper Mekong River to a floating fish market, bonsai and fruit gardens. Lunch in the garden restaurant. Afternoon depart for Vinh Long on the Mekong River , take a motorized boat to visit a local craft village and Cai Be floating market, cruise to Vinh Long. Dinner at restaurant. Overnight at hotel in Vinh Long (B, L,)
Day 5: Vinh Long
Breakfast in hotel, cruise along small shady canals, we step ashore and take a chance to watch a typical and interesting music show of the Mekong cultural life. After that take a biking tour for about half an hour to enjoy the rural peaceful atmosphere of the countryside life, on the way we can also stop en route to learn more about tropical fruit trees and two honey bee farms. Next stop at Longan garden of Mr. Ba Hung’s to take a rest on a hammock by the river. 2h00PM towards VinhLong town to take bus back Saigon. Dinner at restaurant. Overnight in Saigon. (B, L).
Day 6: Departure
Free until transfer to airport for departure.
