Indo 01: Hanoi – Halong Bay – Tet Festival – Hue – DaNang – Saigon – Can Tho (14 Days – 13 Nights)


Tet festival shows the best of Vietnamese charming culture and is the best time to travel to Vietnam. This tour covers highlights of Vietnam for Tet.


Day 1: Hanoi Arrival

Arrive at NoiBai airport. You will be met and transferred to your hotel. The balance of the day is free for leisure. Dinner at restaurant. Overnight in Hanoi. (D)

Day 2: Hanoi – Halong Bay
Morning drive to Halong bay. Arrive at Halong city. Board Huong Hai Junk, check-in registration. Have lunch on board. PM: A fantastic cruise in Halong Bay visit Dinh Huong, Ga Choi island, Dog, Sail island. Continue to visit Sung Sot cave and a swim at Titov beach. Enjoy dinner on board while watching sunset. Fishing, drinking Vietnamese wine and spending a night on an air-conditional cabin. (B,L,D)

Day 3: Halong Bay – Hanoi
After breakfast, you will take a morning cruise to visit Man’s head island, Tortoise island, visit Luon cave by small bamboo boat, Bai Tu Long bay, Toad island, Bai Tho mountain. Return to Halong city and have lunch on board. Go back to Halong wharf and then return to Hanoi. Overnight in Hanoi. (B,L)

Day 4: Hanoi

In the morning, you will enjoy Tet atmosphere. You will visit a local family to prepare for Tet ceremony: go to flower market, pack and boil square cake, our traditional cake is only done for Tet. The balance of the day, we will visit One Pillar Pogoda and the Literature Temple, the first university in Vietnam built in 1070. Overnight in Hanoi.(B,L)

Day 5: Hanoi Lunar New Year Eve
In the morning, time at leisure. In the afternoon, go out to enjoy the Tet atmosphere with a flow of people on Bustle Street and attend in Tet Festival that will be held around the lakes in Hanoi. Don’t forget to pick buds or young leaves to bring home the Luck for the New Year. Overnight in Hanoi. (B,L)

Day 6: Hanoi City tour

After breakfast, A half day city tour of this charming capital city to visit Ho Chi Minh’s House and Mausoleum, the One Pillar Pagoda, Quan Thanh Temple, Tran Quoc Pagoda, and the Temple of Literature. Lunch at restaurant. After lunch, visit to Fine Art Museum, Old Quarter and shopping. Dinner on your own. Overnight in Hanoi. (B,L)

Day 7: Hanoi – Hue
You will be transferred from your hotel to NoiBai airport for the flight to Hue. Arrive in Hue. You will be met and transferred to hotel. After checking into hotel. Have lunch at restaurant. In the afternoon, you will visit the old capital city, a World Cultural Heritage site and then Royal Tombs of Emperor Khai Dinh and Tu Duc. Dinner on your own. Overnight in Hue. (L)

Day 8: Hue – HoiAn
After breakfast, you will take a dragon boat across the triangle of the Perfume River, stop to visit Con Hen Island and Thien Mu Pagoda. Continue to drive to Danang. Have lunch at a restaurant at China Beach. You will visit the Cham Museum which has the finest collection of Cham sculpture in the world and the famous Marble Mountain. In the late afternoon, proceed to drive to HoiAn, a picturesque riverside town is 35 km from Danang city that was one of South East Asia’s major international ports during the 17th, 18th, 19th centuries. Have dinner on your own. Overnight in HoiAn. (B,L)

Day 9: HoiAn – Danang – Ho Chi Minh (by Air)
After breakfast, take a walking tour through the narrow winding streets of the Ancient Quarter visiting Chua Ong Pagoda, Chinese Assembly Halls, the 200 year old Tam Ky ancestral house, the Japanese Bridge and Market. And then transfer to Danang airport for the flight to Ho Chi Minh (Formerly Saigon) with pick up and transfer to your hotel. Overnight in Saigon. (B, L)

Day 10: Saigon – All day city tour
Full day tour visiting historic landmarks, walking tour for photo opportunities to China town and visit Thien Hau Temple, Cholon Market – Chinese district established for over 200 years and largely unchanged with its old temples and house. Lunch at the traditional Vietnamese restaurant. Afternoon, visit Post Office, Notre Dame Cathedral, the former Presidential Palace and the War Remnants Museum. Dinner on your own. Overnight in Saigon. (B,L)

Day 11: Saigon – Can Tho
Morning drive to Can Tho. Arrive in Can Tho, check in hotel. Lunch at a local restaurant. Then visit Ninh Kieu wharf. Dinner at a local restaurant. Overnight in Can Tho. (D)

Day 12: Can Tho Biking and Exploration (30km cycling)
After breakfast, sightseeing through teeming early morning market bustle along the banks of an active riverfront. Ride on a narrow paved road to Phong Dien floating market, primarily a retail market. Absorb the sights of endless cottage industries, timber merchants, coconut shredders, small docks loading/unloading rice, tiny vibrant markets. Continue by bike on the narrow lane to explore the hidden backwaters of the delta. Dinner on your own. Overnight in Can Tho. (B,L)

Day 13: Can Tho – Cai Rang Floating Market – Saigon
Morning visit to the famous Cai Rang floating market, a wholesale and retail market bustling with many crowded boats and sampans, and trading activities every morning. Then stop at orchard and enjoy some juicy seasonal fruits. After lunch, free time to explore Can Tho on your own. Drive back to Saigon. Overnight in Saigon. (B,L)

Day 14: Departure
Have breakfast at the hotel. Free time till transfer to the Saigon airport. (B)
