Indo 19: Hanoi – Sapa – Muong Hum – Sunday Market (2 Days – 3 Nights)

Sapa, Hill Town situated in the northen Hanoi and near the Chinese border. Travelers often consider the hill station of SaPa and the outstandingly beautiful valley around it as the highlight of the trip. The hill tribes meet up in town to trade with each other as well as with foreign visitors.

Day 1: Hanoi – LaoCai (Friday)
8:00 PM: Transfer from hotel to Hanoi train station for the night train to LaoCai at 9:00 PM. Overnight on train.

Day 2: SaPa – Suoi Ho – Ta Phin – SaPa (Saturday)
Arrive in LaoCai at 6:00 AM pick up and transfer to SaPa. Check in hotel. Breakfast, Gentle trek up and down hills through the forest and on the terraced rice fields and visits the villagers of Black H’mong tribe in Ma Tra and Suoi Ho villages. Lunch at local restaurant. Continue our trek to Ta Phin with Red Dzao ethnic group. Drive back to SaPa for dinner. Overnight in SaPa. (B,L,D)

Day 3: Muong Hum Market (Sunday)
In the morning, you will be driven to the Muong Hum Market. It takes about 2 hours to get there. This is a colourful market situated in a small village in the mountain. Meet and talk to the Flower H’mong people. The local people come here not only to buy and sell clothes, vegetables, meat and cattle but eat and drink wine together as well. After lunch, 2 hour trek up to Nam Pung village where we can meet Ha Nhi ethnic group and understand more about their lifestyle. And then drive back to LaoCai for the night train to Hanoi. (B,L)

Day 4: Hanoi (Monday)
Arrive in Hanoi in the early morning.
